The 2009 Ross Hill Pinnacle Series Cabernet Franc was a very good wine. This follow-up release lacks the same depth and is touch too simple. Plenty of gumleaf too, so if minty/eucalyptus aromas and flavours aren’t your cup of tea you’d be advised to steer clear.
Raspberry, grass and leaf plastered with French oak. It’s well short of full-bodied. I’m not convinced the fruit will stand up to the wood in the future. And it does need time. Something of a letdown really. 89 Good
