It’s usually the Windy Peak Pinots and Chardonnays that garner most of the praise but this Shiraz deserves its time in the spotlight.
It’s not much more than medium bodied but there are plenty of layers and complexity. Flirts with blueberry highlights but at its heart it’s about jubey black fruits, plums, a hefty dose of pepper, some eucalypt and a flinty finish. The tannin is lovely and powdery. Value is off the charts here. 91 Good
