“My dad picks the fruit that goes to Cottee’s…”
Wine for people who don’t like drinking wine. I’d struggle to pick it from a glass of Cottee’s Lime Coola in a blind tasting.
The website says “Delicate aromas of green apples with hints of white peach and pear shine through on the nose, whilst the palate displays delicious flavours of honeysuckle and spicy pear”. Well, I did get a bit of stewed pear and some roundness. Otherwise it just smelled sweet. Really sweet. And that’s how it tasted too. Don’t blame the variety used or the region it was sourced from. This is all about intent. For a different perspective head on over to Katrina Holden’s “Sip Your Style” where she reviews this very same “Pinto Gris”. Perhaps one to enjoy with the family? Oh dear. Oh dear on so many levels.
Yes, it’s all that bad…
