The best of six wines submitted by Brothers in Arms. No doubt, a favourable vintage has something to do with that. It’s still very ripe, full-bodied and slightly truncated by alcohol warmth though.
Cassis, mint patties and caramelised, hard roasted root vegetables dominate with a thick layer of malt and coffee oak adding the sheen. Grainy tannin. Little in the way of finesse here but lots of flavour if that’s what you seek. 87 Average
