2012 Galafrey Dry Land Riesling

‘Dry land’ is a reference to the dry grown vineyard from which the grapes were sourced. It’s a different sort of Riesling than the Reserve version – perhaps more straight forward but also, to my tastes, a touch more focused.

Tight lime and lemon nose with a hint of talc. Intense citrus accented shaft of acidity with a bit of Bick’s Original Lime cordial surrounding it. That acidity isn’t overly fine but it’s hardly the grating ‘nails on blackboard’ attack that you sometimes see. A hint of spice on the back-palate. Flows well and has persistence. 90 Good
