Scott Ireland is making some cracking gear at Provenance. Intent, balance and fruit purity mark all of the wines. The regional focus is on Henty, Geelong and Ballarat.
The 2011 Golden Plains Chardonnay is fine-boned and floral. The flavours centre around lime and nectarine with subtle leesy funk and spiced almond oak in the background. A herbal thread is woven through the wine and it concludes with schist and seashell notes. A finessed and precise expression of the variety. 91+ Good – Very Good
