Woah, Peppermint Pattie! That’s the dominant aroma and the dominant taste. Not really my favourite flavour profile but it will have its fans. There’s plenty of charry, toasty oak but the vibrant fruit from a good vintage makes its way through.
Plums and blackberries with the added scent of dried flowers. The entry and mid-palate are slinky although the tannins are a bit rugged and could do with more finesse. Regional earth and spice are present too. If Peppermint Patties are your thing you might rate it higher. It’s certainly a more than decent drink. 89 Good
