Grapes were sourced from a 12 hectare dry grown vineyard in Mount Barker. In a sense it’s very much a traditional dry Australian Riesling. Lime and lemon with a hint of grapefruit. Some chalk too. Somehow it lacks focus though and the fruit flavours come across in a rather clumsy manner.
There’s the expected acid core but it’s not aggresive…until the finish which is extremely chalky and almost hard. Maybe it just needs time but I struggled with this. It felt slightly broad and didn’t roll out in a convincing manner. 89 Good
