2010 Voyager Estate Girt by Sea Cabernet Merlot

Cabernet dominant and it tastes that way. I don’t have the exact percentages but I suspect the Merlot is filling out the mid-palate nicely. Lovely flow here. Plenty of drinking pleasure for your hard-earned buck and ready to go now, although I doubt a few more years will do any harm whatsoever.

Gorgeous chocolate/velvet line with blackcurrants and a hint of cherry. Medium bodied and quite spicy too with a little eucalypt lift. Has that Margaret River gravel character to it but the tannins are supple and comfortable. It’s not a wine to wax lyrical about but for a quality hit of Cabernet based comfort this is hard to go past. 91 Good – Very Good
