2010 Kirrihill Tullymore Vineyard Shiraz

A bit of house cleaning here and a note that I thought I’d already put up. Anyway, I thought the Kirrihill Tullymore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 was very good value but I wasn’t taken with the Shiraz at all.

Clumsy sweet oak, raisined fruit and an astringent, tannic finish. Some may enjoy the dried plum, choc/vanilla, mint and red fruited traits on offer but I just see a very commercial if not technically flawed wine. The finish is mercifully brief. I’m not a fan of rewarding these sort of wines bronze medals, so I’ll give it 87 Average
