A handy little Riverina Durif here. Not that I drink much Durif but it’s a grape with character and I respect it for that.
Firstly the aftertaste and where the real pleasure lies for me; ironstone, spiced orange rind, burnt caramel and earth. Thick chewy, mouthcoating tannin. Yesiree Deen! Up front there’s plenty of purple and black fruits. It’s luxe but not lacking in shape. A more than solid commercial expression of the variety. 88 Good
