As of today, I’m adding a score out of 100 to my ratings. Don’t be scared, the worded system will remain and you are welcome to use whatever suits you best. In my case, I like the degree of calibration that the 100 point scale provides. It’s not perfect but then again, what rating system is?
I’ve a soft spot for this wine. It’s bistro fare but quite charming at that. Great name and label for such a wine too. Brambly red and black fruits are present but they’re not necessarily the focus. There’s a fair shake of pepper with suggestions of florals and vegetation. It’s spicy, stalky, slinky and slammable with a tweak of firm stemmy tannin on the back-palate. I believe the variety used is Shiraz but really, who cares? Get stuck in. 88 Good
