2010 Ten Minutes by Tractor McCutcheon Chadonnay

You have to wait a while for the burnt match to blow off before you can get a handle on this wine. The 2009 release had me reassessing my allegiance to the Wallis vineyard but this year, for me, there’s no comparison. Terroir in action.

There’s a sweet cashew nature to the oak and the fruit is relatively lush. We’re talking yellow and white peach along with bruised apple. Resinous traits chip in too. It’s rounded, soft and a bit of tadpole wine – most of the drive is upfront. Some slightly bitter grip on the finish. On the day this just didn’t mesh for me. Time in the bottle may see improvement. Good – Very Good

One Response to 2010 Ten Minutes by Tractor McCutcheon Chadonnay

  1. Much better on days 2 and 3. Less disjointed. Thinking about uping the rating…

ps- decided to give it a nudge.
