I’m a big fan of Fiano. Just about every local example I’ve tasted has hit the mark. I’m hoping it’ll become the new hip alternative white variety…but I’m not holding my breath.
Beautifully floral perfumed with almond skins, pear, mandarin and some honeycomb. It’s got medium palate weight and an enjoyable amount of viscosity through which the season’s acidity slices superbly. Spice and mineral finish. An absolute winner. Worked well with Spanakopita. Very Good
