2010 Thomas Motel Block Shiraz

Loved the last release of this wine. Think I like this one even more. It’s all about how it feels in your mouth baby. But before we go there let’s touch on some other elements shall we?

Smells of blue and black fruits, new leather, ground brown spice and licorice root. That’s a very good combination in my books. Satin smooth and gently sweet on entry before earth, blood and leather lead it in a savoury dimension. A hint of tart cranberry at the end. It’s just over medium bodied but, like me, carries its weight well. There’s the sensation of melting chocolate in your mouth before slightly oaky tannin molds the flavours into shape. It’s long and a little floral too. This will age a treat. Excellent
