2011 Four Winds Vineyard Riesling

The potential that I sensed in the 2010 release goes a long way towards being realised here. Low level sweetness (13g/l) is matched to crystalline acidity, creating a sense of tension that you don’t often see in Australian Riesling full-stop let alone at this price.

Opens with a clean burst of grapefruit and lime before moving into green apple and papaya. There’s a faint hint of sherbet in there somewhere but the finish is chalky, dry and refreshing. It’s delicate in the mouth and extremely more-ish. Impressive work. Good – Very Good

Thank you very much for the nice comments. Jaime and I are very happy with the excellent grapes our vineyard manager and brother in law, John has been supplying us with out of our Estate vineyard. It has made our job very easy and we are happy that people are enjoying the results!
