Mention Vermentino in Australia and it seems someone will bring up sardines. Don’t you hate successful marketing campaigns?
A lovely sub $15 food white that is a pretty handy quaffer by itself as well. The salty tang on the finish makes the drink but there’s also a welcome hit of savoury bready lees amongst the pear and citrus shadings. Pretty and floral with gentle textural curves. No great length but really, who cares? Another succesful Y Series excursion for Yalumba. Good

Haha. So true
Hmmm I feel like some sardines, not sure why though.
Ah, something to drink with all those sardines I’ve been stockpiling in readiness for the apocalypse.
