Unashamedly full-bodied and oaky but if you’re in the mood…
Purple and black aromatics with plenty of (oak derived) choc/vanilla and coffee alongside raspberry, cinnamon and violets. Toasty, raisined, spirity and very commercial. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. There’s abundant grainy tannin and commendable length. Needs a long decant or some time in the cellar. I think it’s pretty clear that it didn’t float my boat but I’m sure many will enjoy it. Well made in its style. Average – Good
