I’m always interested in trying off-dry Rieslings from the Clare Valley. Having said that, I generally walk away disappointed. That’s pretty much the case here.
Aromatically chock full of pineapple, mango and ultra-ripe lime/lemon with subtle floral notes. Lacks definition and detail on a messy palate, where it comes across as generic tropical fruit juice with some spice. It doesn’t taste overly sweet and neither should it at 10g/l residual sugar…but ultimately it’s flaccid and underwhelming. Drink with spicy food I guess. Average
