Fiano. The little grape that could.
We need alternatives to Chardonnay…or I do. I drink far too much of the stuff. This is shapely but drawn taut on exit with ensconced acidity and a gentle phenolic squeeze. Texture plus weight as it sweeps through the mouth.
Nashi pears, nuts, flowers, mandarin and melon alongside cleansing citrus. Latently honeyed with a savoury, nutty undercarriage and a suggestion of dill on the aftertaste. Feels just right, tastes just right. Very Good
