Well, it’s time to crank things up again after a two month hiatus. I think I’ll start with a wine that is easy to review…and, indeed, recommend.
Another sterling rendition of High Eden Riesling from the renowned Pewsey Vale vineyard, which sits at an altitude of around 500 metres above sea level. A typically pastel entry of lime, apple and watermelon before cleansing mineral acidity deftly swathes the palate. Some subtle herbaceous notes add interest to the finish.
There’s nothing hard or harsh preventing enjoyment of this in its youth but it will cellar well for at least ten years. A wine of genuine delicacy and purity. Very Good – Excellent
