Grampians 13% Screwcap $25- Tasted 16/5/09
A very, very good example of gris indeed. You could certainly pop this in the cellar for more palate weight and flavour to build in the coming years, as it did over a day.
A very pale straw colour withe tinges of youthful green and some bronze from skin contact at a guess. Smelled of Nashis, pear, turkish delight and lychee. Spicy pear in the mouth, with mid palate weight building up via lychee. Finished subtle like with spice. The acidity/structure is awesome. Over time, apples and rose water payed a visit.
Love it. Might even love it more in two years. 94
