2012 Sons of Eden Remus Eden Valley Shiraz

imageGrapes from vines over fifty years of age in Moculta and Central Eden. Has some whole bunch work. Matured in French hogsheads for twenty-two months. Built for the long haul.

Like the proverbial still waters of a dark lake, it runs deep. Black cherry-berry and boysenberry fruits, pan juices and mint. Quality barrel influence is in no way disproportionate. Pepper, cloves, and nutmeg. Obscenely good shape through the mouth with supple and tight tannin pulling everything together. Masterful work. 94+
