2013 Madfish Rosé

imageIt says quite a lot about the evolution of Australian Rosé when this the minimum standard I expect when tasting. Made from Shiraz.

Summer pudding aromatics and flavour. A hint of spice and traction are both welcome. Fruit sweetness with what seems to be a very low level residual sugar element (which most won’t notice as they’ll probably serve it with a severe chill). Slightly creamy through the mid-palate. Not complex. It’s merely an accompaniment rather than any kind of centrepiece. 87
