2013 Wickhams Road Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir

wickhams mornington pinotI probably rated the Mornington Wickhams Road Pinot as the least of the 2012s but this model is more up my ally. More savoury nous. Smoky and twiggy on the backend given time.

The fruit moves into the raspberry spectrum with sour plum skins snd cherry. Cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and tree bark. Some forest litter to close with traces of herbal bitterness only adding complexity. Tightly knit tannin gives this an edge in terms of structure. 92
