2010 Luke Lambert Yarra valley Nebbiolo

luke lambert nebThe first of Luke Lambert’s Nebbiolos to come from the Yarra Valley. Previous releases utilised Heathcote fruit. Sold out ex winery but you may still be able to find it at a retail level. It’s certainly worth the effort.

Perfumed and sophisticated. Roses, raspberries, black cherry, tobacco, orange rind and aniseed. Becoming levels of acidity, excellent lines. Ferruginous tannin that is much more than just a full stop. It feels like warm wax just solidifying…drawing out the finish. A lingering aftertaste of sage and assorted dried herbs. I’m distressed at the thought that I have only one bottle left. 95+

After reading this I MUST get at least a bottle. I cant find this vintage anywhere.
    Jeremy, ideas?

  2. United Cellars currently have four bottles left according to their website. I’d buy them myself if I had the fluid funds :)

  3. Simon1980 says:

If in Melbourne, King and Godfrey (Carlton) have bottle nos 105 and 106 remaining. Bottles 101 and 103 are now safely in my car.
