2013 Pizzini King Valley Riesling

image

Pizzini are a winery known for their take on Italian varieties within the King Valley. Truth is I’ve never tasted many of their ‘non-Italian’ expressions. This Riesling offers broad flavour and easy-going appeal but it’s not in the same league as the winery’s other offerings.

Bick’s Lime Cordial, melon, wilted flowers and chalk. Some spice to close. The acidity is slightly coarse but it’s a fair Riesling. Just lacks definition and is a bit dilute through the finish. 86
