2010 Kellermeister Dry Grown Shiraz

kellermeister dry grownThis comes from the Kellermeister Boots Gold Label range.

“The Boots Gold Label range is made up of genuine handmade sub-regionally focussed Barossa wines of authentic reserve quality.”

Do I need to say anything? “[G]enuine handmade…authentic reserve quality.” What does that even mean? And there’s no mention of any Barossan subregion on the bottle or the website.

Very sweet black jubey fruits, raspberry coulis, plums and salted chocolate with coffee grounds. Substantial oak and raspy, slightly coarse tannin. Decent length. Some freshness, heaps of flavour. Not of much interest to me but I’m sure there’s a market out there. Perhaps they’ll even buy the spiel. 89
