2012 Waipara Hills Pinot Noir

waipara hills waipara pinotThis is a nifty little Pinot Noir for the price. I’d be happy to drink a couple of glasses just about anytime and the price is right.

Light-bodied and vital. Red cherries/berries, refreshing acidity, cola, wild herbs and black spice. Some forest leaf litter. Ample pinosity, savoury nous, tasty fruits and a bit of extension. Oak isn’t intrusive. The aphorism “don’t try to be a great man, just be a man” comes to mind – plus you should never let the opportunity for a Star Trek reference go by. 90 Good
