2012 David Hook Reserve Central Ranges De Novo Bianco

David Hook DeNovoBigBotAnother Australian white blend crosses my path. It makes me happy. Onwards! We must move forward, not backward; upward not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

A blend of Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling grown on Mount Canobolas in the Central Ranges. All varieties fermented separately in older French barriques and stored on lees for six months. Pears, white flowers, thistles, a little sweat/funk and a good dose of tropical fruit through the mid-palate before lemony, flinty carry on the finish. Has mouthfeel and body while maintaining a crisp, racy edge. Waxy phenolics to close. Like it very much thank you. 91 Good – Very Good
