Made by Timo Mayer with grapes sourced from Remstal in Württemberg (near Stuttgart in the southern parts of Germany). Trollinger country but I’m glad this is a Riesling. Designated kabinett trocken.
Lime zest, sherbet and lemon curd extending into a little custard apple and pear. Maybe a hint of spice. Tastes solids-y but I don’t have the technical details. Lovely mouthfeel anyway. Somewhere between wax and glycerol but not in a fat Gris or Viognier sense. Good length along with appreciable body and weight. I like the touch of phenolic grip at the end. Enjoyable and different. 91 Good – Very Good
