Sold out ex winery but still available at a retail level and well worth seeking out. I first tasted it at a Clonakilla dinner next to the simply brilliant 2005 and a lovely, golden and toasty 2002. This will age gracefully as well, filling out texturally (although there’s already a bit of interest in that respect as a youngster) and adding further dimensions of complexity. All you have to do is keep your hands off it now - and that’s no easy task.
Expressive jasmine florals as is so often the Canberra way. Red and green apples join ripe lime and an exotic suggestion of white sapote. Exact on the palate; defined and intricate combined with intensity and endurance. Simply gorgeous drinking. 95 Excellent
