2010 Hungerford Hill Classic Tumbarumba Chardonnay

Hungerford Hill Tumbarumba Chardonnay 2010Haven’t tasted a Hungerford Hill in a while, and this is a lovely way to renew my acquaintance with the producer. A Chardonnay that doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel but succeeds admirably through a sense of balance and harmony.

Subtle struck match, green melon, pear and stonefruits with a bit of roasted cashew oak in the background. Everything in its place and a place for everything. A slightly creamy texture coats a fine line of cool climate acidity. Hard to fault. 93 Very Good
