2011 Patina Rosé

PatinaRose__06637_1352414896_220_220A blend of Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a little Cabernet Franc. Picked ripe with the resulting impression of sweetness. It doesn’t look tired at two years of age but it lacks a sense of flow, feeling somewhat sticky on the palate with brisk acidity coercing it through its line.

Red apples, berries and watermelon. Hints of orange and toffee. Not much of any interest. Has palate weight but struggles to carry it. Unexciting at best, difficult to drink much of at worst. 84 Average
